The CODiE Award winners were formally announced at the Software &
Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 22nd
Annual CODiE Awards Gala in San Francisco on April 17.
"To be recognized by our peers in the software
industry with a 2007 CODiE Award is a great honor and further proof of
the innovation Business Objects consistently delivers to the market,”
said John Schwarz, CEO of Business Objects. "At
Business Objects, our mission is to help transform the way the world
works through intelligent information; and BusinessObjects XI Release 2
plays an important role in helping us deliver on this mission. I am
extremely proud of the hard work our employees have put into building
this world-class solution, as we have created something that is truly

"The software and information industry
continues to move at a dizzying pace,” said
Ken Wasch, president of SIIA. "New technology
and business model innovations are constantly emerging and taking root.
Being recognized by your peers for getting to and staying at the head of
the pack in such a dynamic environment is a major accomplishment, and it
is one of the reasons why the CODiE Awards hold such a special place in
our industry.”
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards acknowledge the most innovative
products and services in the software, digital information, and
education technology industries. Nearly 1,200 products –
the most ever – were submitted for
consideration in over 75 categories. Finalists were selected through
judging by software and information industry trade press, mainstream
technology writers, analysts, consultants, and subject matter experts.
The final round of judging was completed by members of the SIIA –
making this the only peer-review awards program in the industry. A full
list of the winners can be viewed at www.siia.net/codies/2007/winners.asp.
