Buffalo Wild Wings The Place To Be For Big Games

(RTTNews) - Buffalo Wild Wings sold 11 million chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday, up from about 9 million last year, CEO Sally Smith said Friday on CNBC.

Buffalo Wild Wings, which has expended to more than 1,000 locations in North America, has become a popular place for sports fans to enjoy big events.

Locations are packed for NFL games, especially in cities where transplants look for neutral ground to watch their favorite teams. Meanwhile, UFC and other mixed martial arts fights draw customers who would otherwise be stuck home shelling out big bucks for pay-per-view fights.

Smith says that big investments in technology are making for an even more enjoyable customer experience.

"Tablets ... are in 70 percent in all of our stores. That should be complete before the end of the year. Guests will be able to order on the tablet, and then we hope by the end of 2015 we'll be working on pay on the tablet as well."

With dozens of TVs at most locations, employees are trained to help customers find their preferred game.
