BNY Mellon Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK) or BNY Mellon reported that its third quarter net income applicable to common shareholders rose to $1.07 billion or $0.93 per share, from $962 million or $0.82 per share in the third quarter of 2013.

Adjusted net income applicable to common shareholders grew to $734 million or $0.64 per share, from $713 million or $0.61 per share in the previous year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.61 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter rose to $4.61 billion from $3.78 billion in the previous year. Wall Street analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $3.98 billion.
