Autodesk Q2 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - Autodesk Inc. (ADSK) Thursday second-quarter net income of $61.7 million or $0.27 per share, down from $64.6 million or $0.28 per share last year.

Adjusted net income for the quarter were $0.45 per share compared to $0.48 per share last year. On average, 20 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.42 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter dropped to $561.7 million from $568.7 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $560.56 million for the quarter.

Looking forward to the third quarter, the company expects earnings of $0.19 to $0.23 per share, adjusted earnings of $0.36 or $0.40 per share and revenues of $540 million to $555 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.50 per share and revenues of $580.92 million for the quarter.
