Autodesk Inc. Earnings Retreat 43% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Autodesk Inc. (ADSK) revealed a profit for third quarter that lost ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit came in at $33.1 million, or $0.14 per share. This was lower than $57.7 million, or $0.25 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.08 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 2.9% to $599.8 million. This was down from $618.0 million last year.
