Athenahealth Swings To Q3 Loss

(RTTNews) - Athenahealth, Inc. (ATHN) Thursday reported third-quarter net loss of $1.63 million or $0.04 per share, compared with net income of $1.17 million or $0.03 last year.

Adjusted net income for the quarter were $10.4 million or $0.27 per share, compared with $11.15 million or $0.29 per share last year.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $190.4 million from $151.5 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.27 per share on revenues of $190.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2014, the company continues to projects adjusted earnings of $0.98 to $1.10 per share with revenues of $725 million to $755 million. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $1.09 per share on revenues of $746.65 million.
