App Developer Files EU Complaint Against Google

(RTTNews) - Disconnect Inc., an app developer, has complained to European Commission's Competition Directorate about Google Inc.'s (GOOG, GOOGL) abuse of Android dominance.

Google removed a Disconnect app from its Play mobile app store last year, citing violation of a policy prohibiting software which interferes with other apps.

Disconnect, which makes privacy and security applications, complained to European regulators that Google abused its dominant position in the mobile market to discriminate against Disconnect and favor Google's own privacy and security software.

According to Disconnect, Google pulled it because its software disrupted Google's tracking and advertising attempts.

Disconnect wants Google to put its apps back in the Play store and treat them just as Google treats its own privacy and security software.
