AmSurg Q3 Profit Up 10% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - AmSurg Corp. (AMSG) Tuesday reported third-quarter profit of $16.77 million or $0.52 per share, up from $15.44 million or $0.49 per share in the same period last year.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.53 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 19 percent to $268.2 million from $224.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $264.15 million.
