Sun Life Global Investments announces changes to Sun Life Sentry Infrastructure Fund

TORONTO, Oct. 31, 2017 /CNW/ -  Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. announced today that it is terminating Sentry Investments Inc. ("Sentry") as the sub-advisor to Sun Life Sentry Infrastructure Fund ("the Fund"), effective as of the end of business October 31, 2017. The decision is due to unexpected portfolio manager changes at Sentry following the firm's acquisition by CI Financial Corp. ("CI"). Accordingly, effective November 1, 2017, the Fund will be renamed Sun Life Infrastructure Fund. Sun Life Global Investments continues to act as portfolio manager of the Fund and the Fund's investment objective and investment strategies remain unchanged.

Sun Life Global Investments has appointed State Street Global Markets Canada Inc. ("State Street") as the transition manager to the Fund, effective as of the end of business October 31, 2017. State Street will serve as transition manager while Sun Life Global Investments seeks an appropriate replacement for Sentry. Sun Life Global Investments will announce the new sub-advisor as soon as a selection is made.

As with any acquisition scenario that involves our partners, Sun Life Global Investments is monitoring the integration progress between CI and Sentry for any further changes that may be required.
