Slovakia October Trade Surplus Narrows

(RTTNews) - Slovakia's trade surplus for October narrowed from the same month last year, data released by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed on Monday.

The trade surplus fell to EUR 483.1 million from EUR 567.6 million in the same month a year ago. In September, the surplus was EUR 544.2 million.

Exports increased judge 0.1 percent year-on-year, following 4.8 percent growth in the previous month. Imports rose 1.6 percent, after a 0.9 percent gain in September.

In the January to October period, the country recorded a surplus of EUR 4.29 billion versus a EUR 3.162 billion last year.
