S. Africa PPI Inflation Eases For Second Month
(RTTNews) - South Africa's producer price inflation eased for the second straight month in April, though slightly, figures from Statistics South Africa showed Thursday.
The producer price index climbed 7.0 percent year-over-year in April, slower than March's 7.1 percent increase. In February, prices had risen 8.1 percent.
The annual growth in April was mainly driven by food products, beverages and tobacco products, metals, machinery, equipment and computing equipment and transport equipment.
On a monthly bais, producer prices went up 0.8 percent in April.
