New Zealand October Performance Of Services Index 58.2

(RTTNews) - An index monitoring the services sectors in New Zealand came in with a score of 58.2 in October, the latest survey from Business NZ revealed on Monday - up from 56.4 in September.

A score above 50 means expansion in a sector, while a reading below 50 signals contraction.

Among the individual components of the survey, employment was up 1.3 points to 52.8, while stocks and inventories added 3.2 points to 54.8, new orders gained 1.7 points to 63, sales climbed 4.6 points to 60.9 and supplier deliveries dipped 1.7 points to 51.4.

By region, the strongest gains were in the Northern and Central regions, while Canterbury and Otago saw weakness.
