Latvia Producer Prices Fall For Fourth Month
(RTTNews) - Latvia's producer prices dropped for the fourth straight month in April, the Central Statistical Bureau said Monday.
The annual rate of decline accelerated to 0.6 percent in April from 0.3 percent in March. The producer price index has been declining since January.
Producer prices of goods sold on the domestic product decreased 1.1 percent and that of exported products slid 0.1 percent.
Month-on-month, producer prices dropped 0.1 percent for the third straight month.
Producer prices in mining and quarrying advanced 2.6 percent annually, while that in manufacturing and electricity and other utility sectors decreased 0.7 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively.
