Japan Nov Automobile Production Continues To Fall

(RTTNews) - Automobile production in Japan declined for the fifth consecutive month in November, figures from the Japan Automobile Manufactures Association showed Friday.

Total automobile production in November fell 12.2 percent year-on-year to 743,289 units. In the year-ago period, production was at 846,270 units.

Production of passenger cars fell 14 percent. Production of trucks and buses dropped 1.6 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively.

Motorcycle production slid 0.2 percent in November after rising in the previous month.

Automobile exports also fell 11.5 percent year-over-year to 368,113 units in November.
