Ireland Trade Surplus Rises In June
(RTTNews) - Ireland's foreign trade surplus increased in June, as imports fell and exports broadly unchanged, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Friday.
The trade surplus rose to a seasonally adjusted EUR 4.1 billion in June from EUR 3.9 billion in the previous month.
Exports remained relatively unchanged at EUR 9.095 billion in June as compared to May. At the same time, imports decreased by EUR 213 million, or 4 percent to EUR 4.985 million.
The unadjusted value of exports for June was EUR 9.6 billion in June, showing an increase of 19.0 percent when compared with same month last year.
The value of imports for June was EUR 5.07 billion, representing a rise of 5 percent from the previous year.
