Finland's Manufacturing Confidence Weakens In May
(RTTNews) - Finland's manufacturing sentiment weakened in May, survey data from the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) showed Friday.
The manufacturing sentiment index dropped to -11 from -8 in April. It was well below the long-term average of +1.
The confidence indicator for the construction sector came in at -6 versus -5 in the previous month. Nonetheless, the score was better than its long run average of -8.
Meanwhile, services confidence improved in May. The corresponding index rose to 13 from 9 in April.
At the same time, retail sales sentiment remained almost unchanged. The index dropped to zero from -1 in April.
