Denmark CPI Rises For Fourth Month

(RTTNews) - Denmark's consumer prices increased for the fourth consecutive month in August, figures from Statistics Denmark showed Monday.

The consumer price index rose 0.2 percent year-over-year in August, slightly slower than July's 0.3 percent stable rate of climb.

The underlying inflation rate that excludes energy and non-processed food, eased to 0.6 percent in August from 0.9 percent in July.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased 0.3 percent from July, when it fell by 0.1 percent. It was the second consecutive monthly drop.

The EU measure of inflation, or HICP, remained flat in August from a year ago, after rising 0.1 percent in July. Month-on-month, the HICP slid 0.4 percent.
