Bulgaria October Industrial Output Growth Quickens

(RTTNews) - Bulgaria's industrial production increased at a notably faster pace in October, preliminary data released by the National Statistical Institute showed Monday.

Industrial production increased a working-day adjusted 4.1 percent on an annual basis in October, faster than the 0.8 percent rise recorded in September.

Driving the upturn in overall industrial activity, manufacturing production climbed 5.9 percent annually, which was partially offset by a 2 percent fall in mining and quarrying production.

Meanwhile, production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning remained unchanged from last year's level.

Sequentially, industrial production moved up a seasonally adjusted 1.5 percent in October, following the previous month's 0.6 percent gain, data showed.
