BRAZIL: Economists Raise Estimates For 2017 GDP To 0.39%, From 0.34%

(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank increased to 0.39% their forecasts for economic growth in 2017, after six consecutive weeks at +0.34%. For 2018, the median forecast for GDP growth remained at 2.00% for the eighth week in a row.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 was raised to 51.95%, from 51.80% last week, while for 2018 forecasts increased to 55.60%, from 55.29% last week.

Projections for Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 fell to 1.00%, from 1.10% last week, after two upwards revisions. For 2018, economists estimates rose after five weekly declines, to 2.16%, from 1.85% last week.
