Belgium Consumer Confidence At 4-month Low
(RTTNews) - Belgium's consumer confidence dropped for a second straight month in February to its lowest level in four months, survey data from the National Bank of Belgium showed Friday.
The consumer confidence index dropped to -5 from -4 in January. The latest score was the lowest since October, when the reading was -8.
Households' expectations on the economic situation and their financial situation also weakened and they were the most pessimistic in four months.
Fears regarding future unemployment also worsened and the indicator rose after holding steady in the previous month.
Meanwhile, consumers were slightly more confident regarding their saving prospects in the next 12 months, with the indicator rising from the previous month.
