Vodafone Group Plc -- Moody's downgrades Vodafone to Baa1 from A3; stable outlook

Madrid, July 23, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service has today downgraded to Baa1 from A3 the senior unsecured ratings of Vodafone Group Plc (Vodafone). Concurrently, it has downgraded to (P)Baa1 from (P)A3 the company's senior unsecured MTN rating and to (P)Baa3 from (P)Baa2 the company's preferred stock shelf ratings. Moody's has also affirmed Vodafone's Prime-2 short-term rating. The outlook on all ratings is stable.
