Verizon Communications Inc. -- Moody's rates Verizon's new notes Baa1
New York, June 04, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") assigned Baa1 ratings to Verizon Communications Inc.'s ("Verizon" or "the company") proposed offerings of senior unsecured floating rate notes due 2017 and senior unsecured notes due 2017. Verizon intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes primarily to repay some or all of the borrowings of the $3.3 billion term loan due February 21, 2017, and for general corporate purposes.
