United States of America, Government of -- Moody's comments on US Senate ending debate on federal budget agreement
New York, December 17, 2013 -- The US Senate today ended debate on the federal budget agreement, clearing the way for passage into law later this week and signaling an increase in political willingness to negotiate fiscal policy in a timely manner, says Moody's Investors Service. The vote does not alter the scope of the agreement reached on December 10 by congressional leadership, which is modest relative to the overall budget.
