Moody's: Mostly negative European banking system outlooks for 2014, despite some stabilising trends

Frankfurt am Main, December 09, 2013 -- European banks' financial fundamentals will remain under pressure in the majority of countries in 2014, in spite of recent positive developments, says Moody's Investors Service in a new report published today. Moody's says that although large euro area economies have started to recover, other countries still face greater risks, while others have been less affected by the prolonged period of market turmoil, sovereign stress and economic weakness.
