Isle of Man -- Moody's: Isle of Man's economy and government finances remain resilient, but faces pressure from structural changes

London, 17 December 2014 -- A resilient economy, with stronger and less volatile growth than in other offshore centres, and robust government finances continue to constitute major strengths for the Isle of Man (IoM, Aa1 stable), says Moody's Investors Service in its annual IoM Credit Analysis. However, the rating agency notes that IoM faces pressure from global initiatives targeting offshore financial centres and uncertainty over the calculation of income from the current renegotiation of the Customs and Excise agreement with the UK.
