HealthSouth Corporation -- Moody's: HealthSouth's ratings unaffected by announced acquisition of CareSouth

New York, August 31, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service commented that the announcement that HealthSouth Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the home health agency operations of CareSouth Health System, Inc. has no immediate impact on HealthSouth's Ba3 Corporate Family Rating or negative outlook. CareSouth operates 45 home health locations in seven states and will be integrated into HealthSouth'sEncompass Home Health operating unit. We understand that the $170 million purchase price will be funded with a combination of available cash and senior secured borrowings, including HealthSouth's recently established delayed draw term loan and $600 million revolving credit facility. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2015.
