Gold Fields Limited -- Moody's: SEC investigation will have no immediate rating impact for Gold Fields

London, 13 September 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service has said today that the investigation of Gold Fields Limited (Gold Fields) by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will have no immediate impact on the company's credit ratings. On 10 September 2013Gold Fields (Ba1/ negative) confirmed that the SEC is investigating potential irregularities surrounding its Black Economic Empowerment transaction and the granting of the mining license for its South Deep operation.
