Yum! Brands Q2 Profit Tops Estimate; Revenue Misses

(RTTNews) - Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) reported net income for the second quarter of $235 million or $0.53 per share, compared to $334 million or $0.73 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Total revenue for the second quarter fell 3% to $3.11 billion from $3.20 billion in the same quarter last year.

Excluding special items, adjusted earnings for the latest quarter were $0.69 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.63 per share on revenue of $3.19 billion for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company maintained its full year guidance of at least 10% EPS growth in 2015.
