Waste Connections Profit Advances In Q4

(RTTNews) - Waste Connections (WCN) announced earnings for its fourth quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $137.05 million, or $0.52 per share. This was up from $120.29 million, or $0.46 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.49 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 50.5% to $1.58 billion. This was up from $1.05 billion last year.
