Veterans Day Free Meals At Certain Chains
(RTTNews) - Many restaurants and companies are getting prepared to celebrate upcoming Veterans Day with free meals and discounts for those who have served the country.
Applebees, Olive Garden, IHOP, and Golden Corral join with several others to offer Veterans Day 2016 free meals and food to past and present U.S. military personnel.
To avail the Veterans Day benefits on Friday, November 11, active duty and retired U.S. veterans would need to bring some form of military ID. This can include a Military ID Card, VA ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement, Drivers License with Veterans residence, photo in uniform, among others.
Also, it's always better to call ahead to verify locations, and times, and to check whether the selected restaurant chain is offering free food in the area.
Applebee's, which served over one million free meals last year to military veterans and active service members, is continuing with its offers. In addition to a free meal with seven different choices, all current and former military personnel will also receive a $5 coupon to be redeemed on additional food and beverage offerings or for a later time.
IHOP takes free order of red, white, and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Veterans Day. Select locations are giving alternate free meals.
Baker's Square will offer free breakfast choice of Buttermilk Pancakes, three pieces of French Toast, or a Belgian Waffle for veterans. BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse offers free entree, up to $12.95 value.
Bob Evans would give out free breakfast, served all day on Veterans Day. It would also provide a special offer of 10 percent off one's bill for future visits anytime through the end of the year.
Olive Garden offers free meal from select menu items on the special day.
