Verint Systems Q3 Profit Down, But Tops View

(RTTNews) - Verint Systems Inc (VRNT) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $10.7 million or $0.17 per share, down from $22.5 million or $0.42 per share last year.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $282.6 million from $224.3 million last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to $0.84 per share from $0.80 per share last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.75 per share on revenues of $286.6 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Looking forward to the full year 2015, the company continues to see adjusted earnings of $3.35 to $3.50 per share. Verint now sees revenues of $1.140 billion to $1.165 billion, compared to prior outlook of $1.13 to $1.18 billion. Analysts currently see earnings of $3.42 per share on revenues of $1.16 billion.

For the full year 2016, Verint expects adjusted earnings of $3.65 to $3.85 per share on revenues of $1.225 billion to $1.275 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $3.75 per share on revenues of $1.26 billion.
