UPDATE ON THE ANNUAL RESULTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2015
AND INSIDE INFORMATION

This announcement is made by United Company RUSAL Plc ("UC RUSAL” or the "Company”) pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Reference is made to the annual results announcement for the year ended 31 December 2015 ("Annual Results Announcement”) dated 9 March 2016 of the Company. Unless otherwise specified, capitalised terms in this announcement shall have the same meanings as the defined terms in the Annual Results Announcement.

As mentioned in the Annual Results Announcement, as at the date of UC RUSAL’s consolidated financial statements as at and for the year ended 31 December 2015, the Company was unable to obtain the consolidated financial statements of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel ("Norilsk Nickel”) as at and for the year ended 31 December 2015. Consequently, the Group has estimated its share in the profits, other comprehensive income and foreign currency translation reserve of its associate, Norilsk Nickel, for the year ended 31 December 2015 based on publicly available information reported by Norilsk Nickel adjusted by the Group to account for Norilsk Nickel’s performance in the remaining part of the relevant reporting period.

On 15 March 2016, Norilsk Nickel published its audited consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2015, prepared in accordance with IFRS ("Norilsk Nickel Financial Statements”) on its own website. The management of the Company is reviewing the Norilsk Nickel Financial Statements and is of the preliminary view that they may have material impact on the Company’s published consolidated financial statements as at and for the year ended 31 December 2015 (as stated in the Annual Results Announcement).

As soon as the Company has updated its consolidated financial statements as at and for the year ended 31 December 2015 and the auditors have performed the relevant audit procedures with respect to the Norilsk Nickel Financial Statements, the Company will make further announcement containing the Company´s updated consolidated financial statements as at and for the year ended 31 December 2015.

Shareholders of the Company and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the securities of the Company.
