Twitter Q3 Adj. EPS Meets Estimate

(RTTNews) - Twitter, Inc. (TWTR) reported a net loss for the third quarter of $175.5 million or $0.29 per share, compared to a net loss of $64.6 million or $0.48 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $7.0 million or $0.01 per share, compared to an adjusted net loss of $17.2 million or $0.13 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the third quarter jumped 114% to $361.27 million from $168.58 million in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.01 per share on revenue of $351.35 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company forecasts fourth quarter revenue of of $440 million to $450 million. Analysts currently expect the company to post revenue of $448.18 million for the fourth quarter.
