Trinity Industries Reports 45% Gain In Q4 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Trinity Industries (TRN) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $194.1 million, or $1.30 per share. This was up from $134.0 million, or $0.86 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.09 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 6.6% to $1.55 billion. This was down from $1.66 billion last year.
