TiVo Profit Misses Estimate, Outlook Weak

(RTTNews) - TiVo Inc (TIVO) Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $6.3 million or $0.06 per share compared with $12.5 million or $0.10 per share last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.07 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenues for the quarter were $118.4 million compared with $117.3 million in the prior year.

Service and technology revenues for the quarter were $88.1 million compared with $81.7 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $87.9 million for the quarter.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects net income of $2 million to $5 million and service and technology revenues of $87 million to $90 million. Analysts expect earnings of $0.07 per share on revenues of $90.5 million.
