The Pinnacle Bank Arena was previously called the Lincoln Haymarket Arena. This is an indoor venue which is presently being built in the West Haymarket district of Lincoln, Nebraska.  Seating capacity of this state-of-the-art venue is expected to be 15,000 upon completion.  The Pinnacle Bank Arena will be the new home of the Cornhuskers (University of Nebraska) men's and women's basketball teams.  These teams played their games at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in the past.  Lincoln, Nebraska voters approved the construction of this phenomenal venue back in 2010.  It is expected to open for events in September 2013.

The naming rights for this new arena were purchased by the Pinnacle Bank in late 2011.  Some of the scheduled performers in addition to The Eagles at the Pinnacle Bank Arena are:  Michael Buble on Friday, September 13th; Jason Aldean on Thursday, September 19th; Miranda Lambert on Thursday, October 10th and Pink on Saturday, November 9th.

The Eagles will be releasing a documentary entitled "The History of the Eagles" and their 2013 tour begins in Louisville, KY on the 6th day of July.  This legendary group will visit over 30 cities during the months of  July, September and October.  

The Eagles members are: Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmitt.  The band will be performing both old and new favorites for their audiences.  The band came together in the early 70's and they have the distinction of being called the "Greatest American Band Ever."  Babyboomers who were in college during the 1970's can reminicse about listening to some of their most popular songs including:  "Desperado," and "Hotel California."  

The Eagles have won six Grammy Awards.  Their most popular and best selling albums include the following three albums:  "Greatest Hits 1971-1975" album, "Hotel California," and "Greatest Hits Volume 2" albums.  Since these were first released the albums have sold more than 29 million copies, 16 million copies, and 11 million copies, respectively.

The band broke up in 1980, and reunited nearly 15 years later in 1994 for an album and live performances. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.   They continued with their reunion tour concerts along with releasing compilations and new albums.  In 2007, they released "Long Road Out of Eden," their first album of new songs since 1979.  They promoted the album via a world tour that began in March 2008, at London's O2 Arena.  They concluded their tour in Lisbon in July 2009.

The first part of The History of the Eagles was shown at the Sundance Film Festival in January, prior to the broadcast on Showtime the following month. The DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on April 30.  It will contain Parts 1 and 2, and The Eagles Live at the Capitol Center, March 1977.  The documentary was made from interviews with the band members, as well as producers, and other people close to the band. It is composed of 8mm videos shot by the band members during tours and recordings, and 16mm videos of the concerts. The March 1977 concert footage was taken over the two nights of concerts at Washington DC during the Hotel California Tour.

The band members have been active even during their hiatus. They have had successful solo careers with their own individual best-selling singles and albums.
