The Bank of New York Appoints Chong Jin Leow New Head of Investor Services in Asia

The Bank of New York, a global leader in securitiesservicing, has appointed Chong Jin Leow as managing director and headof investor services in Asia. Mr. Leow, who will be based inSingapore, will be responsible for managing the Bank's growinginvestor services business in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Leow joins The Bank of New York from State Street Bank &Trust, Singapore, where he was responsible for the combined StateStreet and Deutsche Bank investor services business in all Asiancountries excluding Japan and Australia. He began his career withCitibank in 1981, holding various relationship management positionswith the bank in Singapore, Hong Kong, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydneybefore moving to Bankers Trust Company, Singapore in 1994 where heheld senior management positions in the sales and product managementareas within Global Securities Services. In 1999, he joined DeutscheBank as head of customer management for Asia Pacific Global SecuritiesServices.
