Tekmira Pharma Prices Public Offering Of 3.75 Mln Shares At $8/shr

(RTTNews) - Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TKMR, TKM.TO), a developer of RNA interference or RNAi therapeutics, announced Thursday that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 3.75 million shares of its common stock at a price of US$8.00 per share for aggregate gross proceeds of US$30.0 million.

The company has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 562,500 shares to cover over-allotments, if any, which would result in additional gross proceeds. The offering is expected to close on or about October 22, 2013, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Stifel is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Maxim Group LLC is acting as co-manager.
