Tampa-area dealer to expand operations in larger lot

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., April 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Friendly Kia is expanding its operations thanks to a new land purchase, but it's hardly a long-distance move – the new plot of land is right next door.  Ownership of the Tampa-area dealer, the sixth-highest-volume new Kia seller in the country, has purchased a 500,000-square-foot lot which was owned by retailer Kmart until 2014.  The upshot is the dealer plans to expand its operations with a new 40,000-square-foot building close to the frontage on U.S. Highway 19, and will demolish its current building once the project is done.

The new building is expected to take between 12 and 18 months to complete, but once finished will provide both car shoppers and Friendly Kia's staff of more than 100 employees with a modern facility with more space to assist in car sales and service.  Among the features of the dealership are its on-site car wash, Mr. Friendly's Car Wash and Auto Spa, and a full-service center.

Some of the available vehicles on the dealer's lot include the 2017 Kia Soul crossover and the 2017 Kia Sorento SUV, as well as the 2017 Kia Niro hybrid crossover, a new vehicle with a class-leading 50 combined miles per gallon in its base trim option.  Friendly Kia has an available VIP Price that discounts each new vehicle at least $2,000 off MSRP, and upwards of several thousand off MSRP.
