Southwestern Energy Co. Q3 Income Falls 98%

(RTTNews) - Southwestern Energy Co. (SWN) released a profit for third quarter that fell from last year.

The company said its earnings declined to $3 million, or $0.01 per share. This was down from $178 million, or $0.50 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn -$0.03 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 19.3% to $749 million. This was down from $928 million last year.
