SolarCity Q2 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - SolarCity Corp. (SCTY) Wednesday said second-quarter loss narrowed to $23.89 million or $0.31 per share from $25.83 million or $2.37 per share in the same period last year.

On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.38 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues totaled $37.95 million, down 19 percent from $46.57 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $27.44 million.

Operating lease revenues increased 79 percent to $20.6 million from $11.5 million last year.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company has forecast adjusted loss ranging between $0.50 and $0.60 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year loss of $1.58 per share.
