Snap-On Inc. Bottom Line Climbs 10% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Snap-On Inc. (SNA) revealed a profit for its first quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $141.6 million, or $2.39 per share. This was up from $128.3 million, or $2.16 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.36 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.3% to $887.1 million. This was up from $834.2 million last year.
