Senior Housing Properties Trust Q2 FFO Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH) reported that its second-quarter funds from operations improved to $76.36 million from $68.48 million in the year ago quarter. But, funds from operations per share declined to $0.41 from $0.42 last year.
Normalized funds from operations, or Normalized FFO, for the quarter were $79.1 million, or $0.42 per share, compared to Normalized FFO for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 of $73.2 million, or $0.45 per share.
Net income was $5.6 million, or $0.03 per share, compared to net income of $33.3 million, or $0.20 per share, last year. During the three months ended June 30, 2013, the company recognized a loss of $105,000, or less than $0.01 per share, related to the early extinguishment of four mortgage debts.
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $186.93 million from $144.39 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.44 per share and revenues of $193.01 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
