Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. Profit Advances 25% In Q4

(RTTNews) - Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. (SNI) announced earnings for its fourth quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $175.32 million, or $1.35 per share. This was up from $140.74 million, or $1.02 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.01 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 27.3% to $851.75 million. This was up from $669.15 million last year.
