Sayville-area residents can find a furry friend at local dealership's adopt-a-pet event

SAYVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Donaldsons Volkswagen has a special love for animals, and to help local dogs, cats and other pets find loving families, the dealership is hosting its Semi-Annual Pet Adoption Day on September 24.  

Twice a year, Donaldsons Volkswagen teams up with local pet adoption organizations – most notably the Westhampton Bideawee Mobile Pet Center – to help animals find their forever homes. To date, 24 animals have been adopted by local families. In addition to the pet adoption centers, local vendors and organizations like Total Pet Care and Girl Scout Troop 626 help make the Donaldsons Volkswagen Semi-Annual Pet Adoption Day a success. 

During the Donaldsons Volkswagen Semi-Annual Pet Adoption Day, attendees can get acquainted with the animals. If an animal is chosen and the attendee is ready to take it home, Donaldsons Volkswagen will cover the adoption fees. 

The Donaldsons Volkswagen Semi-Annual Pet Adoption Day will take place on September 24 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the dealership (located at 5700 Sunrise Highway in Sayville).
