Sallie Mae Names Patricia McCarthy Account Executive for Western Pennsylvania

NORTH APOLLO, Pa., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Sallie Mae, the nation's No. 1 paying-for-college company, today named Patricia McCarthy account executive for Western Pennsylvania. McCarthy -- along with Betty Davis, who joined the Sallie Mae Pennsylvania team in December 2005 -- will build and maintain relationships with Western Pennsylvania colleges and universities and increase awareness of Sallie Mae products and services among students and their parents.

McCarthy has more than 16 years of experience in higher education administration. She has held a variety of roles at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, including assistant director of financial aid, associate director of financial aid and, most recently, interim director of financial aid. Prior to her employment at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, McCarthy served as student employment coordinator and assistant director of financial aid at La Roche College in Pittsburgh. A member of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (PASFAA), the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (EASFAA) and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree from La Roche College.
