Rockwell Collins and Redifun Simulation Reach Settlement

Rockwell Collins, Inc. (NYSE:COL) and Redifun Simulation, Inc., (RSI) a Texas company, announced today that they have settled claims by Rockwell Collins that proprietary and copyrighted images and models were used by RSI. In a settlement agreement signed by the parties, RSI acknowledged that an outside vendor working for RSI had copied Rockwell Collins’ proprietary and copyrighted digital images and that RSI had inadvertently incorporated approximately ten (10) of the Rockwell Collins’ copyrighted models into a demonstration disk. Rockwell Collins inspected, at RSI’s invitation, RSI’s model library and the parties verified that no Rockwell Collins’ proprietary materials remain in that model library. RSI agreed to pay a license fee to Rockwell Collins representing a license for the inadvertent use of the ten (10) images, and the lawsuit was dismissed. Rockwell Collins’ Senior Vice President and General Counsel Gary Chadick, said that Rockwell Collins is pleased that the parties were able to resolve the case.
