Resmed Inc Reports 3% Drop In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Resmed Inc (RMD) reported earnings for first quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit fell to $82.12 million, or $0.58 per share. This was lower than $84.86 million, or $0.59 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.59 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.2% to $411.65 million. This was up from $380.40 million last year.
