Apple Inc. (AAPL) is up 0.73 percent to $486.58.

Outerwall Inc. (OUTR), formerly Coinstar, Inc., is gaining 11 percent to $63.45 based on the news that JANA Partners LLC has taken a 13.5 percent stake in the company. JANA Partners stated that it intends to have discussions with the company's board and management regarding a review of strategic alternatives. In response, the company said it is always open to constructive input toward the goal of enhancing shareholder value.

GW Pharmaceuticals plc (GWPH) is rising 13 percent to $27.99.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) is up 1 percent to $183.40.

Decliners:

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) is down 7 percent to $3.53. The company announced on Friday that it has entered into an Equity Offering Sales Agreement with Evercore Group L.L.C. for the offer and sale of up to $200 million of common shares.

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (CTB) is falling 12 percent to $25.88. The company has filed a complaint stating that Apollo Tyres Ltd. is breaching the merger agreement between the two tire companies announced on June 12. The company has asked the Delaware Chancery Court to compel Apollo to take actions so that the transaction may close.

ASML Holding NV (ASML) is down 2 percent to $25.88.

Boeing Co. (BA) is down over 1 percent to $115.70 as Japan Airlines Corp. (JALSQ.PK, JALFQ.PK) ordered 31 A350 XWBs from French aircraft maker Airbus SAS for 31 A350 XWBs, plus options for a further 25 aircraft. The deal is said to be worth about $9.5 billion at list prices.
