Astex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ASTX) is rising 12 percent to $6.17. The company announced topline results from the ongoing phase 2 study of its SGI-110 in patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and MDS. The company noted that the treatment candidate showed clear activity in patients with AML.

Decliners:

Chico's FAS Inc. (CHS) is falling 4 percent to $14.65 as the company's second quarter results missed Wall Street view.

Joy Global Inc. (JOY) is down 4 percent to $49.22. The company's third quarter profit declined from the prior year period.
